Bail Exceeds Three Million Dollars

On Tuesday March 5th, 2013 at approximately 2:00 p.m., the U.S. Marshal’s Service Task Force located 21
U.S. MARSHAL’S TASK FORCE NABS CALIFORNIA  MAN WANTED FOR ATTEMPT MURDER Bail Exceeds Three Million Dollarsyear- old Jesse Pineda who was wanted for the charge of attempted murder in the state of California. Pineda was believed to be in the area of two adjacent elementary schools near the intersection of Pecos and Walnut, causing the schools to enter into a brief lockdown. The lockdown was a precautionary measure, and
at no time were CCSD children and staff in danger. Detectives and Marshals took Pineda into custody several blocks away from the schools without incident. The fugitive was arrested and transported to the Clark County Detention Center to await extradition proceedings. A prior booking photograph of the
suspect accompanies this release. The U.S. Marshal Service Task Force is comprised of U.S. Marshals, Homeland Security Agents, LVMPD Detectives, Nevada Highway Patrol and Nevada Department of Investigations members.
