Police Kill New York Shooter
A follow up to yesterday’s story about the man who allegedly killed four people in upstate New York, and wounded two more.
Kurt Myers, 64, of Mohawk, N.Y, set fire to his apartment yesterday morning, went to the local barbershop, where he fired a shotgun and killed two, and wounded two more critically. He then drove to the carwash where he shot and killed two more.
He barricaded himself in an abandoned building about 11 a.m. where police and SWAT teams surrounded him.
A canine unit was dispatched. Myers shot and killed the dog.
After 20 hours of a standoff, police and SWAT team members stormed the building. Myers was shot and killed.
His neighbors called him “unfriendly”, and “anti-social”.
There is no discernible motive at this time.
