Sandy Hook can’t believe NRA propaganda

Sandy Hook can't believe NRA Propaganda

There is no Way the NRA Can Believe Their Own Propaganda, and Deny Facts.

“Assault Rifles don’t kill people, people kill people.”  “High capacity clips are necessary to protect your home.”  “Background checks won’t do any good.” (But we can’t let mentally ill people have guns.)

The NRA expects us to swallow this garbage.  New information about Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook killer, tells us more about the old information.

We know that Lanza had mental problems.  What we didn’t know was that he had a safe in his room with multiple firearms and ammunition.  We know he was wearing a bulletproof vest.  And we know he had a certificate from the “NRA”.  Investigators also found one for his mother.  And, we know it took less than 5 minutes for him to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition.  And we know he then took the cowardly act of committing suicide with the handgun he also had with him.

Besides the knives and guns discovered in Lanza’s unlocked gun safe, were 1600 rounds of ammunition.  So, how did he acquire the weapons?

We were originally told that his mother, Nancy, who he also murdered, was a “gun nut”.  Did she purchase these, or did he?

We do know that NRA representative Wayne LaPierre is not a happy man.  In a statement released by the lobby, they denied the facts, as usual.

“There is no record of a member relationship between Newtown killer Adam Lanza, nor between Nancy Lanza, A. Lanza or N. Lanza with the National Rifle Association. Reporting to the contrary is reckless, false and defamatory,” the statement said.  (Check the document shredder.)

According to the police documents, they found “Adam Lanza’s National Rifle Association Certificate” in a blue duffel bag. The official police documents detailed more than 100 items police found in Lanza’s home.

President Obama asked congress for legislation that would eliminate assault rifles, restrict the capacity of magazines, and require every would-be gun owner to receive a comprehensive background check.  In their usual cowardly manner, the first two items were removed without a fight.  Now the NRA supported Republicans are vehemently fighting against background checks.

If there is the slightest possibility that by closely scrutinizing the personal history of Adam Lanza, James Holmes, or Jared Loughner, could have saved one life, it’s worth it.

The majority of America, including gun enthusiasts, many of which are members of the NRA, are in favor of background checks.  The only individuals and groups that are not, are Republican government officials and the NRA.

The pleas of a nation are falling on deaf ears, but ears that are attached to men and women made wealthier by lobbies, which include the NRA.

The NRA’s policy and practice of deny, deny, deny is becoming nothing more than a pitiful plea.  As they continue to falsely hide behind the second amendment, hundreds of innocent people are killed by guns every month.

Greed is threatening to trump common sense.  It appears to be the “American Way”.
