Update: The Voice Season 4 First Look (Video)

The Voice Season 4 First Look (Video)

“The Voice” returned on Monday, March 25 (8-10 p.m. ET) with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s fourth season. Celebrity musician coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton return along with new coaches, Usher and Shakira, while Carson Daly continues to serve as host and Christina Milian as social media correspondent.

The show’s innovative format features four stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, then the battle rounds, the knockouts and finally, the live performance shows.

In the final live performance phase of the competition, the top artists from each team will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and the two artists with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week. In the end, one will be named “The Voice” and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

“The Voice” is a presentation of Mark Burnett’s One Three Inc., Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.

Fans had mixed feelings about the new judges. While some still miss Christina Aguilera others are happy she’s gone.

“Without christina it wont be cool nemore”…. You insane? She was a horrible judge, she focused to much on Dez Duron which screwed up the rest of her team some of her other members should have gone much farther. She was also completely disrespectful to alot of other contestants not on her team. Her words helped get Amanda Brown eliminated which IMO was the most talented singer by FAR on that show and should have went to the finals at least. Im glad Christina is gone. Shakira will be much better

“Honestly I am so happy Christina is gone. No doubt she is a flawless performer, but she is not a good judge. She lets go of her amazing singer.”

“I am so excited for this season of The Voice. I really think it could end up being the best one so far. Unfortunately, I won’t be home to watch The Voice when it premieres because I work a late shift at DISH during the week. My DISH Hopper is already all set up to record it for me though, since it automatically records all the primetime shows on NBC every night. I’ll be able to get caught up as soon as I get home!”

“Its time to shake things up a bit. I think Christina was deleted for her lack of keeping her promises last year. Also, she would just say snide remarks. Cello, as much as he is a gifted singer…as Christina. I think they were more out for the ‘show’ then for the people.” Hopefully, this time, with fresh eyes, and a new perspecitive…this will be the BOMB
