Unemployment Rate Lowest in Four YearsJust In, Unemployment Rate Lowest in Four Years

The national unemployment rate dropped to 7.7%, which is the lowest in 4 years.  236,000 jobs were added in February.

Part of the good news is the largest area of increase was in construction, which was the first to be devastated in 2008.

Hopefully the first quarter rate for Nevada will show improvement as well, it’s due in a few weeks.  The last rate posted was 9.8 which tied us with California.   The only state with a higher unemployment rate was Rhode Island, at 9.9%.
