The Chicago Bulls won their playoff game against the Brooklyn Nets 142-134 in triple overtime Saturday, and took a 3-1 lead in the first-round playoff series.

In the playoffs, all players have to step up and contribute.  Today it was Nate Robinson.  He scored 34 points, but how he did it is the story.

He scored all but five of his points after the third quarter.  With less than 4 minutes to go, the Bulls trailed 109-95.  He scored all but 2 of the 14 point run that put the game into overtime.

Robinson hit a bank shot with only 2 seconds left in the first overtime, and the Bulls believed the game was theirs.  But the Nets’ Joe Johnson hit his shot and tied the game at 121, forcing a second overtime.

In the second overtime, Chicago once again had a chance to win but Joakim Noah’s shot was blocked, and the game was tied at 127.

The Bull’s finally took control in the third overtime to secure victory, and most likely a second round in the playoffs.

The Grizzlies beat the Clippers 104-83, to tie the series at 2-2.  Marc Gasol scored 24 points, with 13 rebounds and 4 assists.  Chris Paul and Blake Griffin had 19 points apiece for the Clippers, and Griffin also grabbed 10 rebounds.

They play again Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
