Drake speaks on new single, new album and Chris Brown (audio)
In an interview with hip hop journalist Elliot Wilson this past Friday, Drake talked about his upcoming album, ‘Nothing Was The Same,’ his single ‘Started from the bottom’ and of course his ongoing beef with Chris Brown. In the interview Drake seem to be in a good place in his life, Drake did mention that life is great for him right now.
With an upcoming album, platinum selling single ‘Started from the Bottom’ and his album ‘Take Care’ recently selling 4,700 pushing it to double platinum status. Of course Drizzy is doing well, Drake makes music the fans love and can relate too and he is not letting what Chris or the media say about him affect him and his mind state.
In fact after hearing of the news of his single ‘Started from the Bottom’ and album ‘Take Care,’ Drizzy was back hard at work in the studio with fellow artist Future. So, it is clear that Drake is focused on his music and on making music his fans will love for years to come not just for the moment.
As he says in the interview, Drake is not thinking about what Chris is doing, let alone what Chris is rapping about or what Rihanna is doing.
Drake is focused on his upcoming album ‘Nothing Was The Same’ and preparing it for release later this year.
Still, and while speaking with Mr. Elliot Wilson, Drake did say this about Chris:
“His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, I’m more popping than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap. I did what a real ni**a would do and treated her with respect so she not up there talking down on me.”
As for Rihanna, Drake said, “I’m not thinking about that girl, either.”
Now, back to the music as Drake recently released visuals to his song ‘5AM in Toronto.’ The video was shot in Drake’s hometown, in an underground warehouse. Watch the video here:
