Five People Die in Florida Car Crash
The driver of a Mercedes Benz ran a red light in Rivera Beach, Florida, hitting a Lexus with five passengers. The Lexus rolled over several times, striking two trees. Some of the passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
Four of the Lexus’ passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. A fifth, the driver died at the hospital. They ranged in age from 17 to 22. Only the driver and front seat passenger were wearing seat belts
The driver of the Mercedes was taken to the hospital, and authorities describe him as being “very uncooperative”. He is in serious condition, and is identified as Jabari S. Kemp, 21 of Florida City.
The accident happened on an exit off of Interstate 95.
A third vehicle, a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Joevin Casimir, 24, of Riviera Beach, was struck by debris from the crash between the Lexus and the Mercedes. Casimir was not injured.
