Kobe Bryant Out For Season
The Los Angeles Lakers won the game against the Golden State Warriors Friday night to keep them one game up in their playoff hunt. But they most likely lost the season.
34 year old Kobe Bryant ruptured his Achilles tendon, and will undergo surgery Saturday. He is most likely out for the rest of 2013, giving the Lakers little chance to win in the playoffs. He has averaged over 27 points a game.
He will work hard on making a comeback for next season, which he has frequently indicated may be his last. It will be number 17.
He was verbally angry and his body language showed it as well. When he calmed down later, he tweeted; “One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day,” he wrote. The post received more than 136,000 likes.
“I was just hoping it wasn’t what I thought it was,” Bryant said, according to the tweet.
The Lakers said they have no intention of eliminating Bryant from their roster. He will make 30.5 million dollars in 2014.
