On April 19, 2013, at approximately 9:35 p.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Call Center received reports of shots being fired in the 2800 block of Fremont Street. Officers responded to a nearby parking lot where they discovered a male with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was later pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was confronted by two suspects which lead to an exchange of gunfire. The suspects then fled in a blue Cadillac driven by a third suspect.
The vehicle is described as a mid to late 1980’s baby blue, Cadillac four door sedan, with a white landau top, tinted windows and unknown Nevada license plate. The vehicle may show signs of bullet strikes. Still photos of the suspect vehicle accompany this release.
Suspect one is only described as a black male adult. Suspect two is described as a black male adult standing approximately 5’9” -5’10”, 170-180 lbs. He wore a dark jacket and pants and was armed with a handgun. Suspect three is only described as a black male adult. No suspects have been identified and this case remains ongoing. On Monday, April 22, 2013 at approximately 11:00 a.m. detectives from the LVMPD Criminal
Apprehension Team arrested 25 year-old Dustin Bleak of Las Vegas in connection with this
incident. Bleak was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and is facing
Murder with a deadly weapon, Conspiracy to commit murder, Attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, Conspiracy to commit robbery, and
Sale of a controlled substance.
