Las Vegas: Detectives seek public's assistance locating arm and dangerous suspect

On April 28, 2013, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Call Center received reports of a woman severely bleeding at 6300 block of Greyhawk Avenue. Officers responded to the area where they discovered a woman lying in the roadway suffering from apparent stab wounds. She was transported to UMC Trauma whereNathan Benson 2 (2) she was later pronounced deceased.

A preliminary investigation conducted by the Homicide section indicates a physical altercation ensued between the victim and suspect which lead to the attack. The victim escaped from the suspect and was able to find assistance.

As a result of the investigation detectives developed 27 year-old Nathan Benson as the suspect in this incident. Benson is described as a white male adult standing approximately 5’5”, weighing approximately 130 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He is further described as having tattoos depicting skulls on his right upper arm and the numbers “702” on his left upper arm. Photographs of Nathan Benson accompany this release. Nathan Benson is armed and dangerous.
