Thank You Rand Paul, You Make My Job Easier
I believed that after Rand Paul tried to re-write history at Howard University, he would be wise to be quiet for a while. I underestimated his lack of intelligence.
He has now accused the President of using the slain children of Newtown as “props”. Really!?
He says that there should be debate about gun legislation, but that the families of victims should not be drawn into the politics.
Rand was the ring leader who was planning to filibuster ANY debate, and now he believes in deliberation. And gun control is not and should not be a political discussion, but Republicans and Democrats are making it one.
Serious and reasonable gun legislation is an issue of public safety. The people that should be most involved in its discussion are those affected by gun violence. Men shouldn’t be involved in the discussion of abortion, and politicians shouldn’t be involved in the discussion of public safety issues. What they should be doing is listening to the public, and finding a way to enact their ideas.
By definition politicians want to be in office to further their own ambition, not those of their constituents. THAT is the problem with Washington.
Paul has trouble with reality, and he has trouble telling the truth.
He says he is still undecided about a 2016 run for the presidency. The truth, Mr. Paul, is that you’ve been running for months. The ultimate was your attention-grabbing publicity stunt when you filibustered the Senate over drones.
Admit that your only goal, and the only real work you will do for the next several years is to keep yourself in the public eye, and pander to your base and the owners of the TEA Party.
