Siya remixes Jay-Z’s ‘Open Letter’

Siya gives her 'Open Letter'

After the controversy of Jay-Z’s ‘Open Letter’ and his telling of his trip to Cuba with wife Beyonce on their 5th wedding anniversary. Jay-Z took some real heat for his lines on his ‘Open Letter’ track as he rapped, “Politicians never did s**t for me, except lie to me, distort history. They wanna give me jail time and a fine. Fine, let me commit a real crime.”

Jay-Z also rapped about his friendship with President Obama in saying: “Obama said, ‘Chill you’re going to get me impeached.’ You don’t need this s**t anyway, chill with me on the beach.”

Hov also raps, “boy from the hood but got White House clearance.”

Something the White House caught flack for but the White House in a briefing said: “I am absolutely saying that the White House, from the president on down, had nothing to do with anybody’s personal — anybody’s travel to Cuba. That is something the Treasury handles. It’s a song. The president did not communicate with Jay-Z over this trip.”

Now, other artists are coming out with their version of ‘Open Letter’ including rising hip hop star Siya who today posted a brand new video of her version of ‘Open Letter.’ Siya like Jay-Z holds no punches and just goes hard in the ‘Open Letter’ freestyle.

Siya has yet again raised the bar for femcees as she continues to trail blaze and show the world that you don’t have to sell out to make it in the hip hop industry. Siya has earned respects of such heavy weights as rapper T.I. who in a recent video showed his respect for the femcee.

Currently, Siya is in the studio working on her follow-up to 2012′s ‘D.Y.K.E.’ mixtape and after this ‘Open Letter’ freestyle fans can expect some more hot verses on her next project.

Also, Siya fans can anticipate seeing their favorite femcee taking on hosting duties at this year’s SweetHeat in Miami as well as hearing DJ Jai Syncere on the 1′s and 2′s.
SweetHeat begins May 2nd and runs through May 6th, so ladies book and plan now for this party in South Beach.
