Cinco de Mayo, La Batalla chronicles the story of Mexico’s Battle of Puebla, the most important battle in Mexico’s history. When the unbeatable French army invades Mexico to set up a monarchy, General Ignacio Zaragoza played by Kuno Becker (Goal!, From Prada to Nada), must defend the city of Puebla, commanding a poorly armed and outnumbered troop of men. Meanwhile, two young Mexican lovers manage to find love amidst the chaos of war. Cinco de Mayo, La Batalla chronicles the bravery of a people pushed to the limit, fighting for their nation, their families and their Pride.

5 de mayo is an hypnotic production beautiful photography and incredibly amazing set locations as well as enchanting performances by well know veterans like Kuno Becker (Goal ) but But also by newly raising talents like Jorge Moreno seen in productions such as “el estudiante” “contratiempo” , and most recently “Me late chocolate”

In a recent interview to the Spanish tv show “nocturninos” Moreno stated that 5 de Mayo was not only a historical masterpiece but a story that tries to bring out the anonymous Mexican hero that we all have in ourselves.
