Amanda Bynes Claims NYPD Officers Sexually Harassed Her

Amanda Bynes’s accusations of sexual harassment by two NYPD officers is being investigated by the internal affairs bureau of that department. Bynes made the claims that she had been sexually harassed, on her twitter account.

NYPD launched the investigation Saturday after reviewing Ms. Bynes twitter account accusation.

She claimed that two officers sexually assaulted her after charging her for tossing a marijuana bong out of the window of her 36th apartment in midtown Manhattan.

During her arraignment on Friday, the 27-year-old former child star alleged that officers illegally entered her apartment after being called to her midtown building. She made no mention of being sexually harassed then.

But later a Tweet made from Ms. Byrnes account, alleged sexual harassment.

“As it would with any such allegation, regardless of its credibility, IAB is investigating it,” said the NYPD’s chief spokesman, Paul Browne, referring to the internal affairs bureau.

Ms. Byrnes Has been charged with reckless endangerment, attempting to tamper with evidence, and unlawful possession of marijuana. She was released on her own recognizance.

Last week Ms. Bynes was denied permission from boarding a private jet in New Jersey because she could not show any form of ID. The jet was bound for Los Angeles, California.

Sources at Teterboro Airport, in New Jersey, said that the actress was not permitted to get on the plane because she was not able to produce any form of ID. According to sources, the troubled television and movie star then got angry and screamed, “I am Amanda Bynes.” She purportedly told the pilot of the jet to Google her because she did not have a driver’s license.

Ms. Bynes’s driver’s license was suspended after pleading no contest to driving on a suspended license. She was placed on three-year probation. The first suspension occurred after a series of incidents related to her driving.

In March, she was stopped by the Los Angeles police for talking on her cell phone while driving.

In April, Ms. Bynes was arrested and charged with DUI, in West Hollywood after sideswiping a deputy sheriff car. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, she was attempting to pass the police car in her black BMW. No one was injured in that incident.

Her bail was set at $5,000, but she was released the next morning without being required to post bail.

In June, Ms. Bynes was officially charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Then again, in September, Ms. Bynes was involved in two separate hit-and-run accidents.

That month, the Department of Motor Vehicles in California suspended Ms. Bynes’ driver’s license and officially impounded her vehicle after she was found driving with a suspended license.

Initially, she pleaded not guilty to two charges of hit-and-run but later reached a settlement with the parties’ involved in those incidents. The charges against her were dismissed. She was sentenced to three years’ probation.

Last fall, Ms. Bynes moved to New York. However, since moving to New York, the former Nickelodeon star has repeatedly made headlines for her allegedly worrisome behavior and her baffling and sometimes venomous tweets.
Responding to her coverage in the Intouch magazine, Ms. Bynes used racist language and hate filled words to respond to the article. She tweeted, “the only thing sadder than your ugly face still writing stories about me is the fact that you think I’d even step foot in a room with that ugly faced black man.”

In April, she posted a video of herself engaged in inexplicable behavior in front of a mirror. She titled it: “I’m Sucking On A Sour Patch Kid Listening To Music Getting Ready For Tonight.

Last Fall, Ms Bynes rejected she had trouble with the law. In a statement, she told People Magazine, “I am doing amazing … I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don’t drink, and I don’t drink and drive. It is all false.”

She has also often announced she is retiring from acting. In June 2010, she posted a tweet saying she was going to call it quits from performing.

“I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I’ve #retired,” she wrote on Twitter. “I don’t love acting anymore so I’ve stopped doing it … If I don’t love something anymore I stop doing it … Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem.”

One month later, the star took to Twitter again and said she had changed her mind. “I’ve unretired,” she posted.

According to the Daily Beast Ms. Bynes “retired” because she was unable to land roles due to her unsettling behavior. According to reports, she was let go from the Farrelley brothers’ film Hall Pass because she exhibited “erratic behavior” and “paranoia.”

Ms. Barnes claimed she quit due to scheduling conflicts.

Ms. Bynes has acted in various television series, such as All That and The Amanda Show. She also starred in the TV series, What I like about you.

She also starred in several films aimed at teenage audiences. These include Big Fat Liar, What a Girl Wants, Love Wrecked, She is the Man, Hairspray, Sydney White and Easy A.

In 2006, Ms. Bynes was named one of Teen People’s” 25 Hottest Stars Under 25.”

After climbing up the ladder of success, it appears that Amanda Bynes has been on a wild rollercoaster ride downward. Her latest claims of sexual harassment demonstrates that she not yet prepared to take responsibility for her actions.
