Car Crashes into “Trail Days” Parade in Damascus, Virginia

At about 3:30 EDT, a car slammed into a parade in Damascus, Virginia, Saturday.  The first numbers of those injured was placed at 12, but now the number has been revised to reach as many as 60.

The vehicle was said to be an older Cadillac, driven by an elderly man with a medical condition.

The incident happened at the “Trail Days” parade, and annual celebration of the Appalachian Trail.  Triage has been set up at the Damascus Fire Hall.
