Chicago Police Recover a Cache of Assault Weapons, Ammo
and Narcotics from a South Side Residence
CHICAGO – Chicago Police recovered several assault weapons, ammunition and cannabis from a residence on the city’s south side during a domestic disturbance. Jeremy Lydon, 43, of the 2100 block of South Halsted, was charged with one count of
Unlawful Use of a Deadly Weapon/Silencer, one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon/Rifle/Shotgun, one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Rifle, one count of Possession of Cannabis-30-500 grams, and 12 counts of No Firearm Registration Certificate.
On Saturday, May 11, 2013, at approximately 9:30 pm, Near West (012th) District officers responded to a domestic disturbance in which the offender was threatening his girlfriend with a gun inside of a residence in the 2100 block of South Halsted. Upon arrival, a gun was recovered from the Lydon and he was taken into custody. Officers subsequently obtained a Consent to Search and during a search of the apartment, several assault weapons were recovered – one Mac-10 with a silencer, one shotgun, six handguns, one AR assault rifle, two AK 47 assault rifles, numerous magazines, and approx. 90 grams of
cannabis. Lydon is scheduled to appear in Central Bond court today.
