COLLISION DETAILS:
On May 8, 2013, at approximately 3:01 a.m., a motorcycle / pedestrian critical injury collision occurred on Flamingo Road west of the intersection of Audrie Street. Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate the pedestrian was crossing Flamingo Road,from the south to the north, outside of a marked pedestrian crosswalk when he was hit by the motorcycle traveling westbound. The collision caused the motorcycle operator to be ejected, landing on the roadway. Both the pedestrian and motorcycle operator were transported to UMC Trauma with minor to critical injuries. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
