Shots Fired During a Domestic Dispute

At approximately 4:30 A.M., shots were heard by officers patrolling the area of Flagler Street and SW 22 Avenue. Additionally, the station received a phone call alerting officers of a dispute at 2189 SW 1st Street. When officers arrived they quickly set up a perimeter around the business, but the offender had fled the scene.

Moments later, the offender along with the business owner, droves back to the scene where he was quickly identified and detained. According to the investigation, the offender was arguing with the business owner/girlfriend when he made threats to kill her and others inside the business. The offender exited the establishment and started discharging a firearm. No one was injured.

Offender: Hispanic male Carlos Jesus Sanchez Bermudez, D.O.B. 11/5/1975, of 2005 SW 3th Street has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault.
