New Orleans Parade Finds 12 Shot

A Mother’s Day Parade in New Orleans came under attack, as 12 people were shot.  There are no fatalities reported as yet, although 3 people are in critical condition, and at least four are in surgery.  One of the victims was a 10 year old girl who was grazed with a bullet.

One other person was injured in a fall when the melee occurred.

The incident happened at Frenchman and Villere Streets about 2 p.m.

There is no idea of the purpose behind the shooting.  Police are said to be looking for three men.  One is described as being between 18 and 22 years old, wearing a white tee shirt and Levis, with short hair.
