President Obama targeted with third letter with possible ricin

President Obama target by not one or two but three threatening letters mailed to him and it is possible this third letter which was intercepted by an off-site facility which was set up after the anthrax attacks; may now contain ricin. The letter was sent on Thursday and is currently being tested for ricin, authorities say the letter is similiar to those sent to Mayor Bloomberg which were and did test positive for ricin.

In the letter the unidentified person wrote: “What’s in this letter is nothing compared to what I’ve got planned for you.”

The letters were postmarked May 20 and arrived from Shreveport, Lousiana but had no return address or fingerprints that were usable. All authorities have to go on is that the post facility in Shreveport handles mail from Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas so the writer of these letters can be from any of the three states.

Currently a DNA check of the third letter sent to President Obama is underway as details are still developing for authorities have yet to find a motive or who sent the letter.

Also, in the letters that were sent to Mayor Bloomberg and according to a local law enforcement officer one of the letters had appeared to contain a pink, oily substance which sparked instant suspicion and the letter being instantly flagged. That letter was discovered at a mail sorting facility (100 Gold Street) last Friday.

Mayor Bloomberg has stated, “In terms of why they’ve done it, I don’t know. the letters obviously referred to our anti-gun efforts, but there’s 12,000 people that are going to get killed this year with guns and 19,000 that are going to commit suicide with guns, and we’re not going to walk away from those efforts.”
