Cincinnati Bengals Cornerback Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones has a checkered past with law enforcement to say the least, and apparently has been arrested again.
The news is brought to us from ESPN’s Adam Schefter as well as Pacman Jones’ Twitter page. Jones broke the story himself by Tweeting “Just got arrested for protecting myself, I will not let this break me or change what I have work so hard for ….”
He seemed to have been turning his career and life around since joining the Bengals. He has been an underrated contributor for the team since joining them three years ago.
The league likely won’t have any tolerance for a man they have had to suspend several times throughout his career. The once rising star hasn’t been able to stay out of trouble for long since joining the NFL, and it looks like Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones has once again been arrested.
The incident reportedly occurred when two women approached him while he was attending a Cincinnati Reds baseball game. According to Adam Schefter, Pacman’s lawyer Peter Schaffer said that “2 intoxicated women approached Jones at Reds game, took picture with him, threw bottle of beer at him, then Jones slapped one.”
Schaeffer has also called this incident a “travesty of justice” in his statement about the events that transpired.
More on this story will become available as details emerge.
