Atlanta: Lenovo Laptops Fraud Case

On June 11, 2013 we received an email and call from Scott Heim, Tech Data – a distributor company for other companies needing Lenovo Laptops. He stated he was able to intercepted another order with the same Method Of Operation as our previous cases but the location of shipment was to 3355 Lenox Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30326. To date we only been able to ID the runner.

All other player are using fictitious names and never been seen just spoke to over the phone. As soon as we get one location ID, the suspects move their operation to another Virtual Office location. Potential Victim 1: TechxTend, DBAWAYSIDE TECHNLGY GROUP, 1157 Shrewsbury Ave, Shewsbury, NJ 07702-4321 shipped 16, Tecra R950-S9521 15/2.7 4GB 320GB W7P64, Invoice #8004936764 to Enterprise Analytics, Janet People – PO TXus-Q-4045, 3355 Lenox Road Ne, Ste 350 (750), Atlanta, Ga 30326-1332 Potential Victim 2: Howard Industries, Inc., PO Box 1590, Laurel, MS. 39441, shipped 14, ecra R950-S9521 15/2.7 4GB 320GB W7P64, Invoice #8004936764 to Enterprise Analytics, Janet People – PO TXus-Q-4045, 3355 Lenox Road Ne, Ste 350 (750), Atlanta, Ga 30326-1332 On June 13, 2013 at approximately 0830 hours the Major Fraud Unit, Homeland Security Unit, and with United State Secret Service Agents meet at the Zone 2 Precinct, 3120 Maple Dr N.E., Atlanta, Georgia.

Office: (404) 848-7231 for briefing on the surveillance detail for the day. APD Inv Ricks and Fed Ex Security Officer Cates deliver the control delivery packages to the Zone Two Precinct where Homeland Security Tech Investigators places electronic control devices inside one of the boxes. APD Units paired with USSS Agents except for Homeland Units then all unit when to the surveillance location at 3355 Lenox Road. APD Inv Ricks and Fed Ex Security Officer Cates delivered the control packages to 3355 Lenox Road, Atlanta, GA.

The suspect from previous cases Rodney Sandridge was already at location waiting on the delivery. Once delivery was made suspect Rodney Sandridge took possession of the packages. Rodney Sandridge then went through Decatur and picked up his a BM at 3508 Woods Drive, Decatur Ga. They then went 30 Peachtree St NW to Park Place Jewelers where I, Detective Bracley ID, the another BM as Antonio Sandrigde, Rodney Sandridge brother.

Antonio Sandrigde was ID from lineups I have placed him in from previous cases. Antonio Sandrigde went into the jewelry store and was brokering the sale of the computer with Omeed Sheikh-Sajjadieh. Antonio Sandrigde and Omeed Sheikh-Sajjadieh walk in and out of the store were team members were able to positive identified the suspects. Rodney Sandridge stayed close to his vehicle which had the computers in them.

Once they took two of the nine boxes of the computers out of the vehicle and placed them inside the business the surveillance teams moved in and detained everyone on scene. Asghar Sheikh Sajadieh (father and owner of Jeweler Shop), and Omeed Sheikh-Sajjadieh (son), was read their Miranda Warning Rights. They both signed a waiver and agreed to talk with us.

Rodney Sandridge, Antonio Sandrigde and Omeed Sheikh-Sajjadieh were later place under arrest and transported to Fulton County Jail without incident. Asghar Sheikh Sajadieh was not taken into custody and also signed a Consent To Search Form of his business and storage area.
