Angelina turns 38 on Tuesday and on Monday night, Pitt took his mother of six sweetie to an intimate dinner for two in Paris after the premiere of his lastest film World War Z at the Normandie Theatre.
The 49 year-old actor arranged the dinner himself on the Monday afternoon according to what sources told People magazine. The very exclusive restaurant Il Vino, which is run by Enrico Bernardo who is the youngest-ever winner of the World’s Best Sommelier award is where Brad chose to “wine and dine” his lovely partner.
Sources revealed that the couple dined alone in a back of the intimate, and exclusive, neighbourhood restaurant, enjoying a degustation which is the restaurant’s tasting menu around a variety of French wines.
According to staff members the loving couple enjoyed their meal and according to another, “Their main plate was langoustines with a French wine, and there was a dessert – a cake, because it was her birthday.”
If the staff were surprised to see that Brad Pitt had taken his partner Angelina Jolie to a happy birthday meal the day before the actual event in Paris, the restaurants other diners were even more surprised.
A fellow diner expressed his surprise at seeing the Hollywood couple in the restaurant. One diner, Yen Goel who was their with her husband Rajat said, “It was very subtle, real cool. “They came in very unobtrusively. It was real fast.”
According to Yen, “They walked by, and I said to my husband, ‘I think I just saw Brad and Angelina walk by us.’ Her husband, didn’t believe her at first and said, ‘I think you may have had one glass of wine too many already.”
After their meal, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie joined another group from their World War Z promotional tour party at a nightclub near Montmartre, the Silencio. The nightclub was designed by the film director David Lynch.
Earlier in the evening reporters asked Pitt if they both felt that this birthday was extra special, considering Jolie’s very recent double mastectomy. Pitt answered that, “Every year is special. This year isn’t any more special than other years. We’re going to celebrate in the air with the kids because we’re going on to the next city.”
Brad Pitt has been very vocal in his support of Angelina’s decision to have the double mastectomy after finding out that she had the defective gene BRCA1 which increased her chances of getting breast cancer by a staggering 87 percent. She decided to have the operation and is said to be considering having her ovaries removed later in the year.
Angelina Jolie lost her mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, who had breast cancer and died from ovarian cancer at the age of 56, while her maternal grandmother had ovarian cancer and died aged 45. Her maternal aunt, Debbie Martin, who had the same defective BRCA1 gene as Jolie, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and died at age 61 on May 26, 2013.
Jolie is accompanying Pitt to the premieres of his latest film, World War Z as it opens across the world in her first public appearances since her double mastectomy earlier in the year. Brad Pitt treating his courageous wife Angelina Jolie to an early happy birthday in Paris, shows just how much he loves this brave and, in his words, forceful woman who handles problems, “head on.”
