Chicago Police investigation results in recovery of $500,000 of stole merchandise

Chicago-The Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence Section lead an investigation which resulted in a Search warrant today at a warehouse locatedon the 2600 block of W. 35th Street. The search warrant was for stolen merchandise and the Illinois State Police Cargo
Theft Unit assisted CPD in this investigation.

While in the course of executing the warrant, officers located numerous pallets of Ghiradelli chocolate products valued at $150,000, numerous pallets of top shelf alcohol products valued at over $175,000, one pallet of BMW parts, and several pallets of cement garden
water fountains.

Officers also recovered outside in the parking lot of the location, 2 stolen semi-tractors, three stolen full length trailers, one stolen cargo truck and one stolen cargo van
