Eminem almost died because of a prescription drug overdose. The rapper made this statement because of his new documentary which is called: “How To Make Money Selling Drugs” (produced by former “Entourage” star Adrian Grenier). Which is about his secret drug abuse. He said he listened to nobody, to no fool. He was convinced that he wasn’t doing anything wrong, and even less a drug addict.
Eminem admitted: “Once I took my first Vicodin, it was like this feeling of, ‘Ahhhhh,’ like everything was not only mellow, but [I] didn’t feel any pain, It just kinda numbed things. I don’t remember when exactly it became a problem, I just remember liking it more and more.”
The rap artist believed for a long time that he was doing no harm. He didn’t see it in the same light as illegal drugs. According to Eminem at the time he saw it as normal medications. Also any “fool” who tried to reason with him was quickly dismissed. The rap star said: “I would say, ‘Get that f**king person outta here, I can’t believe they said that s**t to me, they don’t know nothing about my f**king life, are they out of their f**king mind? I’m not out there shooting heroin, I’m not out there putting coke up my nose, I’m not smoking crack.” He didn’t think he needed help because he thought: “I literally thought I could control it.”He listened to no fool, not even when “they” told him he had a secret drug abuse problem.
He continued using and then one day everything turned around. He took too much medication. Eminem said about this dark day: “Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died, my organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn’t think I was gonna make it. My bottom was gonna be death.” However the rapper wasn’t done yet with it. He said he fell off the wagon “within a month.” He continued: “I shot right back up to the amount of pills I [had been] taking,” he sighed. “I remember just walking around my house and thinking every single day, like, I’m gonna f**king die. I’m looking at my kids, and like, I need to be here for this.”
Lucas Brewer tweeted Eminem’s words back to him. For motivation for all of us: “Love is Evil,Spell it backwards i’ll show ya”-Spacebound…Eminem knows what he’s talking about….”
When he finally reached down and found the motivation and strength to get sober and straightened out he encountered loads of side effects. Eminem reveals: “I literally was up 24 hours a day for three weeks straight – and I mean not sleeping at all. Not even nodding off for a f**king minute, I had to regain motor skills, I had to regain talking skills. It’s been a learning process.”
He concluded with some strong motivational words: “I’m growing. [In the beginning] I just couldn’t believe that anybody could be naturally happy or naturally function or be just enjoying life in general without being on something, so I would say to anybody, ‘It does get better, you know.’ It just does.'”
His true fans have not stopped believing in him. One such fan Casie Delacruz@CasieDelacruz1 tweeted: 13 Grammys, 1 Oscar, 12 VMAs, 12 EMAs, 10 AMAs, The Fastest Selling Hip Hop Artist In The History, Definetly: EMINEM KING OF RAP
Do you agree with Casie or do you think he won’t be able to make a successful comeback? Do you appreciate his candor or should he have kept this private? Let us know in the comments.
Some final home truth uttered by the rapper himself and tweeted by k.Dot@kelley_Rozayn”Instead of mourning your death, I’d rather celebrate your life! -Eminem” Luckily we still can celebrate his life and his secret drug abuse hasn’t gotten to him so far. Eminem finally listened and got sober. A fool no more.
