Las Vegas: Teen girl succumbs to gunshot wound
On June 4, 2013 at approximately 3:24 p.m. LVMPD Patrol Officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Little Crow Avenue in south central Las Vegas to investigate reports an individual had been shot.

Arriving officers located a teen-aged girl suffering from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where she later died of her injuries.

The preliminary investigation into this incident by LVMPD Homicide investigators has indicated this appears to be a tragic accident. The weapon in this event came from inside of the residence, and was being held by another teenage girl at the time it discharged.

At this time it is anticipated no charges will be filed in connection with this tragic event.

The identity of the deceased and the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
