Catapulted to stardom as a child star on Disney’s Hannah Montana, the tall blonde beauty was video taped in 2010 smoking a mysterious substance from a bong. Cyrus flippantly dismissed the incident, claiming she had a few puffs of salvia, an herb smoked for its hallucinogenic properties.
Although Cyrus didn’t say it directly, the actress/songstress smokes pot. (Is this what made her bare her bum in a video, and make out with a doll?)
When questioned recently if she was a “stoner,” Cyrus, 20, told Rolling Stone: “You can’t ask someone that and expect them to say yes. I did a song with Snoop Dogg called ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreak,’ so people can put it together for themselves.” Cyrus added, “I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana. People can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care. I’ve seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I’ve never seen that happen with weed. ”As long as it isn’t illegal, there are far more dangerous things… And it’s legal in the state of California, so I’m happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be.”
Parents who once encouraged their young daughter’s adoration for the attention-seeking Hannah Montana actress are likely to be uncomfortable with Cyrus’s latest revelation. Miley Cyrus was recently added to a list of “Worst Women Role Models.” The designation is appropriate: her disgusting antics, lewd posturing and mediocre musical ability leave much to be desired.
“I never stop working, ever,” Cyrus told Billboard magazine. “I want my record to be the biggest record in the world, and I’ve given everything to get here, even down to friends and family and relationships – I’ve just put this music first.” Miley’s relentless pursuit of fame and fortune works for her. GetNetWorth.com advises the actress, writer, songwriter and publicity hound has amassed a net worth of $120 Million.
GNW reports, “Miley enrolled in the Armstrong Acting School of Toronto when she was nine and was soon cast in small roles, varying from television shows like Doc to the 2003 Tim Burton movie Big Fish. After her mother followed the advice of Miley’s godmother Dolly Parton to sign with Morey Management Group. Miley soon auditioned and won the lead for a new Disney show that centered on an average girl who had a secret identity as a pop star. Where Does Miley Cyrus Live? The show, Hannah Montana, was an instant sensation and propelled Miley’s career not just as an actress but as a singer songwriter. The Hannah Montana soundtrack skyrocketed to number one on the Billboard 200 in 2006, only to be surpassed in opening sales by a double-disc release the following year, which included another Hannah Montana soundtrack and Miley’s original namesake CD. With over three million copies sold in the US, the RIAA has certified this album platinum three times. Breakout, Miley’s follow-up album, debuted at number one in the US. Miley has also kept up with acting, lending her voice to Disney productions such as the movie Bolt and the television show The Emperor’s New School, as well as starring in Hannah Montana.”
As far as Miley’s love life goes, she and fiancé Liam Hemsworth are doing just fine, thank you. In spite of the many rumors floating around tinsel town that Miley’s “party life” was putting a strain on their relationship, Miley and Liam were spotted cuddling and holding hands at a recent movie date in Hollywood: the first public sighting of the amorous pair since January. To further dispel the hurtful rumors of their troubled relationship, Miley flashed her gorgeous engagement ring proudly.
In a recent interview with V Magazine Miley stated, “I’m not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work! He gets up to work out at six and I come home around five from the studio. Every week it’s, ‘Are they broken up? Because we don’t see a photo of them.’ I don’t have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don’t.” Miley continued, “”I’ve put this record before everything and I’ve never done that before. I’ve put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it. I’m going to change. I’m going to be different. I’m going to do what I want to do.”
Miley’s maintained a frantic publicity seeking schedule for the past several weeks, only to watch her hit video single “We Can’t Stop” dip on the charts as her attention focused on promotion of a new upcoming album.
In a flagrant, failed attempt to appear “sexy” in the “We Can’t Stop” video, Miley pandered to fans most primal instincts. Seems these day, the success or failure of a music video is more about the packaging and presentation of the artist than it is about the quality of the music.
In a story released today, The Hollywood Reporter commented, “It’s her nod to party-centric videos like Fiona Apple’s “Criminal,” in which the singer depicted herself in a sultry, druggy haze while also sharing the screen with teddy bears and barely legal boys, but Cyrus doesn’t pull it off quite as well. Instead, she comes off somewhat desperate in her attempt to shove aside her old life for the new. If anything, it’s just another sign of immaturity, albeit in a different light. At the same time, there’s no doubt as to what the new Miley Cyrus is all about: partying, drugs, booze, sex, rock and roll… Doesn’t sound so bad — .”
To add to Miley’s angst, mother Tina is seeking a divorce from Miley’s father, Billy Ray. Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus were married for 19 years prior to Tish filing for divorce on June 13. Billy Ray and Tish have five children together. Miley appears to be coping well with her parents impending divorce, tweeting a post of herself, little sister Noah and mother Tish. However, her ‘Disney’ image is passe. Mickey would be embarrassed by her bare bum, and seeing her interact with a doll.
