Forget all about whether or not Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are a couple or not. Miley Cyrus, who has been working so hard to leave her Disney “princess” image behind her, says so long Hanna Montana and hello me as she feels that she has finally moved on from her Disney channel days.
Miley believes that with the premiere of her “all-grown-up” party jam We Can’t Stop on the airwaves she has left her “little girl” days behind her for good.
Miley is proving with everything she does that she isn’t a kid anymore. At least Maxim believe her since they put her in the number one spot of the World’s Sexiest Woman not the World’s Sexiest Kid, which sounds so wrong. The 21 year-old actress/singer believes that her song’s pro-party message and its electro-pop leanings make it perfectly clear that she is all grown up.
If you doubt it, just read what Miley had to say to MTV on the day of her new single’s debut. She spoke to them to explain that her new song isn’t so much about “reinvention” but more about revolution. She has moved into phase two of her evolving career and she’s doing it her way.
Miley said, “Moms, they remember their daughters watching [‘Hannah Montana’], and kids remember watching the show, but that’s not who they think I am. I’ve done so much on my own, like putting out my twerk video … the biggest thing people say to me is ‘I love that you don’t care what people think.’
So Miley Cyrus says so long to my childish image of Hanna Montana and wants the world to say hello to the “new me.” Because she doesn’t care what people think, she is too busy for all that nonsense.
The 21 year old performer continued, “And I don’t; I can take all the constructive criticism in the world, and … of course I want people to love my music, but at the end of the day, I make music for me. I make music because I love it and I put good energy into it, so it will be all good.”
Her aims as a recording artist are very mature and what they should be, focussed on what she enjoys doing and letting her audience into the fun of the trip. One thing that is working for the singer is that the Disney Company taught her that hard work equals great dividends. But then perhaps that was already in her genes as Billy Ray Cyrus’s daughter, someone else who has shown that a good work ethic is what it takes to be a success.
One thing she apparently did not learn from Disney or her dad is her determination to be a party animal. Or, at least, to be perceived as one. She actually finds it quite funny that people think of her as an “all party” type of gal, she insists that she is much more than that.
“People think of me as a party animal, which I am a self-proclaimed party animal,” she laughed. “But I also am the hardest-working person you’ll ever know.”
The world’s number one sexiest woman is just following her game plan, the near nude photo layouts, the partying image and her music are all pointing to the same thing. It’s the new grown-up Miley Cyrus saying so long to Hanna Montana and her “kiddie” ways and hello me, the older, sexier and interesting woman.
