The Pittsburgh Steelers today announced that cornerback Justin King was placed on the reserved/injured list. That means his year is done for the Steelers before it even started. So, the only way King will play again in 2012 is if the Steelers release him from the roster after he has healed.
King joined the Steelers on December 18, 2012, but was inactive for the Steelers final two regular season games. King was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 National Football League Draft.
Since the Steelers placed King on the reserved/injured list, a hole was created on the roster. To fill that hole, the Steelers signed undrafted rookie free agent cornerback Nigel Malone. Malone spent time on the Colts roster earlier this offseason.
