On Thursday morning, reality television star Tamar Braxton gave birth to a baby boy. The 36 year-old singer and TV personality got onto her Twitter account and posted a picture of a blue “It’s A Boy” teddy bear and blue balloons with the message, “HE’S finally here!”
Luckily for Tamar, the birth of the couple’s first child happened during the season finale of Braxton’s popular reality show, “Braxton Family Values.” Braxton met record executive, Vincent Herbert through her sister Toni. Herbert was at that time her sister Toni’s producer. The two married in and they reside in Encino, Los Angeles.
The singer revealed to the world that she and husband Vincent Herbert were expecting their first baby on ABC’s Good Morning America way back in March. She told anchor woman Lara Spencer, “I have a love on top! I am pregnant! I feel great and greedy at the same time. This is the most I’ve eaten ever… I don’t have that many months to go. Almost there!”
Now Tamar Braxton has gone past the “almost there” phase and actually given birth to her and Vincent’s baby boy. The photo on Twitter show just how happy the couple are.
In January 2011, just a year after she signed with Universal Records, the WEtv Network confirmed that it had signed Toni Braxton and her mother and sisters for a reality series, Braxton Family Values. The show debuted April 12, 2011. Then on December 15, 2011, it was confirmed that Tamar and her husband Vincent would star in their own reality series centered around her solo career and their married life.
In September 2012, her television show Tamar & Vince premiered on WEtv. The show featured multiple scenes of Tamar recording her second album. The 36 year-old has also worked on other television projects. She guest starred along with her sister Trina on TV Land’s new sitcom, The Soul Man, that starred Cedric The Entertainer. Tamar was the featured model for the “Front Row Couture” collection during the “ELLE/Style360” NYC Fashion Week event.
She also co-hosts on Tameka Cottle’s late night talk show Tiny Tonight. The show aired in December 2012 on VH1. She also hosts, The Culturelist, a show on Centric. She worked on the Whitney Houston Legend Documentary this year.
Braxton started her singing career way back in 1989 when she and her sisters were signed up to Arista Records as The Braxton’s and the group recorded their first single, Good Life. The song failed to become a hit, due to some problem with the age disparities of the group and Arista dropped them from their label.
Tamar was a singer from an early age and her pastor father had all his children in the church choir. After getting dropped from Arista, the group then lost Toni who signed up to a solo career and the remaining sister, which included Tamar became a popular backing group.
After bouncing around the music industry in a variety of jobs and albums, in 2004 Tamar was signed to Tommy Mottola’s reactivated Casablanca Records and began work on her second album, currently titled Love and War.
Braxton started dating Herbert in 2003. It was their 2008 Wedding photos that appeared in several magazines that apparently influenced producers to make them the stars of their own reality show, Tamar and Vince.
There can be no doubt that after Tamar Braxton-Herbert gave birth to her baby boy that the reality TV star is feeling pretty good about her life. Both on and off her television show.
