But it wasn’t just Hollywood celebrities who were saddened by the news, but the actor’s who’d starred with Cory were also saddened and felt the need to express their love for their fallen comrade and their dismay at his death. Co-star and fellow Glee actor Neil Patrick Harris summed up everyone from the cast of Glee when he tweeted:
while the cause of death was not immediately apparent to investigators, Monteith’s autopsy will take place on Monday according to authorities. Vancouver Deputy Police Chief Doug LePard told reporters on Saturday that he, “not discuss anything that we might have found in the room at this time”.
Monteith had a history with drugs and the actor struggled for years with his addiction. Reportedly he’d been an addict since his teen years. Cory had entered into a rehabilitation program in March/April 2013. Upon his release he tweeted, “Sending out big love to everyone. Thank you for the continued support! It means the world to me! :).”
Ironically the star was not shy about his drug addiction and had said that keeping off drugs was all about “perseverance.”
