It feels good to experience love, doesn’t it? We all seek it. We also know how great it is to be praised for something we did. Those of us who have tried it both ways know gratitude over blame and sadness is the best medicine to most any issue, even when it’s difficult to muster. But did you know that feelings such as love, praise and gratitude can actually affect your DNA in a positive manner? That’s what the studies say.
Gregg Braden, the used-to-be scientist-engineer, who went on to study consciousness has been weaving science and metaphysics along with ancient spiritual teachings to discover some amazing things about our humanness. Braden reports several studies on DNA and emotions in an article entitled: DNA Discoveries.
In the first study, performed by by Dr.Vladimir Poponin, a quantumbiologist, simple protons of light are isolated in a vacuum. Measurements were then taken between the protons, which were determined to be random, without order, as expected. Next, DNA was placed inside the vacuum with the protons of light, after which the same measurements were performed again. This time, the photons were lined up in accordance with the DNA – orderly. Which was amazing in and of itself. The DNA was then removed, after which the photons stayed ordered. Double amazing! From this it was concluded that physical substance could affect the non-physical and continue to do so even after perceived separation. Gregg Braden comments:
We are forced to accept the possibility that some NEW field of energy, a web of energy, is there and the DNA is communicating with the photons through this energy.
The second was a military study where individuals had some white blood cells taken as DNA samples, which were subsequently placed in chambers of separate rooms in the same building as the donors. Next, some emotionally charged images were shown to the donors, whose response was recorded. At the same time, scientists were watching the white blood cells, measuring electrical impulses of both the cells and the people. The amazing thing was, they each exhibited the exact same responses at the same moments precisely. That’s right, the isolated white blood cells reacted electrically to the images played to their previous owner at the exact moment the human donor did. Greg comments that “living cells communicate through a previously unrecognized form of energy. This energy is not affected by time and distance. This is a non-local form of energy, an energy that already exists everywhere, all the time.”
In this final experiment it all comes together as to how feelings of love praise and gratitude can affect DNA. This study was performed by the International organization of HeartMath who then published a paper entitled: Local and Non local Effects of Coherent Heart Frequencies on Conformational Changes of DNA. Here is what occurred:
Pieces of DNA, the most pristine that could be acquired, were placed in 28 different vials and held by 28 different researchers with specific instructions of how to conjure certain feelings in their bodies. Here are the results:
What was discovered was that the DNA CHANGED ITS SHAPE according to the feelings of the researchers: 1. When the researchers FELT gratitude, love and appreciation, the DNA responded by RELAXING and the strands unwound. The length of the DNA became longer. 2. When the researchers FELT anger, fear, frustration, or stress, the DNA responded by TIGHTENING UP. It became shorter and SWITCHED OFF many of our DNA codes! If you’ve ever felt “shut down” by negative emotions, now you know why your body was equally shut down too. The shut down of the DNA codes was reversed and the codes were switched back on again when feelings of love, joy, gratitude and appreciation were felt by the researchers.
This experiment was later followed up by testing HIV positive patients. They discovered that feelings of love, gratitude and appreciation created 300,000 TIMES the RESISTANCE they had without those feelings. So here’s the answer to what can help you stay well, no matter what dreadful virus or bacteria may be floating around. Stay in feelings of joy, love, gratitude and appreciation!
These emotional changes went beyond the effects of electro-magnetics. Individuals trained in deep love were able to change the shape of their DNA.
This is profound research. What this confirms even more is that it is so important to maintain loving and gratuitous feelings in the body so as to stay health, youthful and vibrant. It also confirms that the influence we have on one another’s field is remarkable, even when we are no longer in ‘close proximity.’ We are scientifically validating that unity exists, that all beings are interwoven and interconnected and that our feelings affect not only our bodies and the health of our bodies – but the bodies of one another. We are united. In the reverse, when we feel negative emotions, we destroy our bodies and each other. When we are stressed-out and frustrated, so will be our cells and the people around us.
We can change the world by changing ourselves, and we do this one emotion, one molecule at a time. Research is proving, our very DNA is affected by the emotions of love, praise and gratitude. They are not just ‘feel good’ ideas, but medicine for the body, mind and spirit. When we can truly cultivate these things and express them with ease, we will see the world transform, and not until. It begins within. Gregg says it so beautifully: “Our feelings are activating the timeline via the web of creation, which connects all of the energy and matter of the Universe.”
