iPhone 6 Release Date May be Sooner than Later

iPhone 6 release date

British mobile carrier, Vodafone, has listed the iPhone 6 as part of the inventory for a late fall release. Many American consumers referred to the next generation as iPhone 5S, not speculating on the concept of the iPhone 6 until 2014. It appears, if rumors are correct, Apple will be releasing two versions among the public. In doing so, the release date of the iPhone 6 is teasingly approaching faster than intended.

Tech rumors and unnamed sources categorize the iPhone 5S as a “low-cost” alternative to the higher end iPhone 6. All Apple fans are now moving over to the creation of the iPhone 6. Sources suggest the iPhone 6 will be considered one the fastest and leanest iPhones yet. Reportedly, Apple is implementing the A7 quad-core processor and the iOS 7 in the new releases.

These features are rumored to have seamless integration and more features. In addition, sources close to the company state the newest iPhone will pack a punch not seen in its predecessors. Currently, the new generation of iPads have a maximum 128GB of memory. Sources suggest this option (at a higher cost) may be an available feature in the near future date of the iPhone 6.

Originally, Apple had stated 2014 would be their year with the speculation of the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iWatch. It seems the production line of the development team is pressing on the gas pedal. While the Cupertino based company continues to have zipped lips and dropped eyes, another revelation from the tech leader may stun some of its partners.

Sources suggest Apple is not pleased with iPhone remaining a point of purchase with telecommunications outlets like AT&T and Verizon. The source states the purpose of the Apple Store is to draw in customers for a total Apple experience, and, of course, review other products such as the Mac and iPad. This newest revelation may determine if the iPhone 6 will remain in locally owned stores or extend to companies like AT&T for pre-orders.

‘9to5Mac’ revealed an internal memo to employees earlier this year prompting a response, “Do you have a great idea about iPhone?,” the memo began. “Do you have a thought about something that is missing in the store environment that would help bring the iPhone to life? Apple employees are all invited to submit their ideas for the new iPhone. The team of selected candidates will fly to California for an eight-week trip from August to October 2013 to brainstorm the next iPhone event.”

This move created speculation if the release date of the iPhone 6 would be closer to the Holidays. Or, as sources suggest, it could be a memo inviting participants to review specs for future iPhone models since iPhone 6 is reportedly in the manufacturing process.

Apple is reportedly releasing the iOS 7 update in mid-September. Tech critics state that Mac genius Steve Jobs always had a formula for release. If CEO Tim Cook follows the trail of his legendary friend, a massive update such as the iOS 7 typically comes with new hardware – speculation remains if this will be placed on the iPhone 5S , iPhone 6 or both. iOS 7 is chocked full of goodies. Some of the newest features include:

  • The Control Center- allows users to access common settings from a swipe-up menu.
  • AirDrop – allows consumers to transfer files over Wi-Fi to other users (think Samsung Galaxy S Beam).
  • Camera features – the camera is  pretty spectacular on the iPhone brand, it appears Apple is also adding an app for increased specs.

There is one feature that will remain consistent. It seems from Cook’s statement in June, the iPhone 6 will not outpace the iPhone 5 in screen size,

My view continues to be that the iPhone 5 has the absolute best display in the industry, and we always strive to create the very best display for our customers. Some customers value large screen size, others value other factors such as resolution, colour quality, white balance, brightness, reflectivity, screen longevity, power consumption, portability, compatibility with apps and many things. Our competitors had made some significant trade-offs in many of these areas in order to ship a larger display. We would not ship a larger display iPhone while these trade-offs exist.

Rumors continue to swirl and Apple remains mum on the release dates of the triple packed products. Fans anxiously wait for the summer heat to cease, the children to go back in school and wait for the next iPhone release. Regardless, if the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, consumers are ready for the fall release of the product and iOS.
