Jimmy Kimmel has given up his middle portion of Ben Affleck’s bed to Jennifer Garner after he married his longtime girlfriend Molly McNearney on Saturday.
The late-night talk show host finally tied the knot with McNearney on Saturday at Ojai, California at a star studded wedding event. His guests included Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner as well as Matt Damon, Howard Stern, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, as well as Jennifer Aniston and her fiancé Justin Theroux.
Other guests included Johnny Knoxville, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Gabourey Sidibe, JJ Abrams, Don Cheadle, Andy Richter and of course comedian Jeff Ross. Sidibe did pull a prank on Kimmel by showing up for the wedding ceremony tricked out in her own wedding dress and carrying a green umbrella, although she did change for the actual event!
It has been a long running gag that Jimmy Kimmel and Ben Affleck have something going together and the most hilarious stunt was at the end of Jimmy Kimmel’s The Handsome Men’s Club where he is in bed between Affleck and Garner. As Affleck tells Kimmel that he’s his special handsome, Garner leans over Kimmel and says, “That’s enough, it’s getting weird.” She then claps her hands to turn off the bedside lamp.
Matt Damon, Affleck’s best pal, and another guest at the wedding, was also in the comedy skit with Kimmel.
But Saturday was all about 35 year-old McNearney and Kimmel getting married after they started dating way back in 2009. On the Friday evening before the ceremony, both Kimmel and his lovely fiancee were seen in white attire welcoming friends and family to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa where they were having their rehearsal dinner.
This is the 45 year-old late night show host’s second marriage. He was married before to, his girlfriend Gina, back in June 1988. The couple had two children, Katie and Kevin born in 1991 and 1992 respectively. The two separated in 2002 and Kimmel then started dating the comedian Sarah Silverman, whom he broke up with before dating McNearney in 2009. She is the co-head writer on his late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live. The couple got engaged in August 2012, and then married on Saturday.
Kimmel finally got around to asking Molly to marry him while the two of them were vacationing in South Africa at Kruger National Park. After McNearney obviously said yes, Kimmel then had his bachelor party in Vancouver, Canada back in the first part of June this year with 12 of his friends which included his former Man-Show host Adam Carolla and comedian Jeff Ross. The party was a wheeled affair.
Kimmel and his bachelor party guests rode around the city on bikes and then had dinner.
After the couple exchanged vows at around 5:45, they got ready for the reception at which time the Kimmel and McNearney family members toasted the newly married couple. The event went on until midnight according to a source, although quite a few of the crowd did keep partying until about two in the morning.
