The man who brought you, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” and “I am not a fan of books,” is now being accused (again) of an altercation with a photographer at the LA airport. The paparazzo was directing questions at West, who finally lost his patience, and before dozens of witnesses and photographers, he attacked the man with the camera.
The bruised photographer was transported to the hospital where he stated he wants to press formal charges against the rap sensation. Due to the fact West was ripping the camera from the photographer, the LA County District Attorney’s Office will pursue it as a felony attempted robbery rather than the lesser charge of battery. In addition, West never stuck around to talk police, he jumped into a car with his bodyguard and driver.
Other cameras flashed as West attacked the photographer, providing a wealth of evidence right outside of the LA Airport. A representative of the LA Airport Police released a statement to ‘X17online,’
“Today at approximately 2:00 p.m., at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (on the arrival level curbside), Los Angeles Airport Police officers were flagged down by a citizen (photographer) who alleged that he was taking pictures of an individual when he was battered by the subject. The alleged subject was not at the location nor was he observed by officers at the scene.”
West’s specific irony resides in the fact that his new ‘baby mama’ Kim Kardashian lives before cameras and makes her fame and fortune from the exact source West decided to attack. In more embarrassing news, Kris Jenner earlier spoke to the audience and hosts of ‘The Talk’ claiming her daughter’s boyfriend doesn’t have a temper, “Knowing Kanye and I do know him very, very well, and I am very close to him…he doesn’t have a short temper like everybody thinks.”
In the video released by ‘TMZ’ the photographer is peppering the rap mogul with questions when he was attacked. On the video the photographer states “come on Kanye, I don’t want to fight you,” before West attacked.
West is not new to altercations between himself and the public in general. In 2012 West took a swipe at a photographer in Miami and there were reports in December of 2012 that West hit an elderly woman when boarding a train in Brooklyn. It seems a new baby has not calmed down the controversial rapper.
Last week, West screamed at a ‘TMZ’ reporter who simply stated he ‘loved his work.’ West covered the camera and scolded the photographer that he better never “talk to anyone he knows. Ever again.” It’s apparent fame has made West completely power crazy.
Many fans will agree that the paparazzi are out of control and have created more danger than necessary for the stars. It’s the price they pay, that is the public life of an artist, especially one who aims to drop controversial quotes and create splashes at events (think Taylor Swift). Overall, if West wants the paparazzi and photographers to back off, maybe he should stop trying so hard to get attention.
The photographer at the LA Airport was a respectable distance away and doing what paparazzo do best, annoy and pester. West has a bodyguard for distance and didn’t consider that option when he attacked the photographer, sending the man to the hospital. The evidence received from captured video footage and witness reports are currently under investigation.
