Lindsay Lohan Price Tag for Oprah Winfrey Documentary Series Two Million Dollars

Lindsay Lohan to get two million for Oprah documentary.

TMZ reports that the price tag for Lindsay Lohan’s eight part documentary series that will be produced by Oprah Winfrey will be a staggering $2 million!

A source close to Lindsay told TMZ that the OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) has been in negotiations with Lohan for four months. These negotiations obviously include Oprah’s interview and the subsequent follow up eight part documentary on Lindsay’s struggles with her addiction, her floundering career and her “plans” for the future.

While it will be interesting for those of us who aren’t part of the Lindsay Lohan support club to see just what really went behind closed doors when she bailed from the Betty Ford Centre at Rancho Mirage, California for the, presumably, better climate at the Cliffside Malibu rehab facility in Malibu, California is it really worth an eight part documentary?

Is it all about the ADHD addictive medication or was she really that desperate to get away from Brooke Mueller? Or perhaps she wanted to be closer to Malibu, where the 30 days community service she still owes will be more pleasant while surrounded by sand and sea! What other tidbits can be revealed about Lindsay that haven’t already been covered elsewhere?

But, following the old Hollywood adage that any publicity is good publicity, the 27 year-old drug battered star isn’t relying on her recent media coverage to sell her product. She’s just been seen naked in the trailer for her upcoming film, The Canyons and she only got a paltry $100 a day for the duration of the shoot. Now the news that OWN are doing the “post-rehab” documentary will keep the paps and the public interested. But Lindsay will no doubt tell you that money is important, even if it’s not very much.

While The Canyon’s got her to display her body for practically nothing, Lohan has prior for taking it all off for a sum that was a bit larger than $100 per day. (For a ten hour day, that works out to $10 per hour.)

Playboy coughed up a bit more coin for her “layout” in the magazine, $1 million. But honestly, it is criminal that Lindsay has had to resort to flaunting her drug damaged body for cash. At least the Oprah Winfrey will allow the Parent Trap actress to remain clothed!

This new deal with Oprah Winfrey, sounds good for Lindsay but, what about her, “When I get out of here, I am going into hiding,” drill recently.

According to sources close to the star, she has come to the realisation that she has no self control when it comes to fighting her addictions and she says that the “business” is only empowering her inner demons. Her answer is to drop out of the system for a while.

Lohan is due to get released from the Malibu rehab centre in the first part of August. Her sources say that she plans to move somewhere in the US where there are no paps. She plans to stay there until she can reach some Zen-like state with her self.

But with the much publicised interview with Oprah Winfrey and the news that she’ll be taking part in a eight part documentary that has a price tag of $2 million, Lindsay might just have decided to hide in plain sight. She hasn’t forgotten that all important career publicity. Not to mention the two assistants; a personal stylist and the fat paycheck at the end.
