Miami: Three Year Old Wanders into the Streets

Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at approximately 4:15 AM, the City of Miami Police Department was summoned to the area of SW 32nd Avenue and West Flagler Street in reference to a three-year-old child wandering the streets alone. A concerned passerby called police after spotting the child walking along Flagler Street.

The child’s mother (defendant) told police detectives that she left her son sleeping at 1:00 AM, and went to a friend’s house to drink and use drugs. Defendant returned home at 5:00 AM and discovered police at her house.
Defendant, Janisleidys Herbello, D.O.B. 1-11-1989, has been charged with one count of child neglect.
