Motorola brings sleek and sexy back by releasing three Droid releases; Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra and Droid Maxx. The powerful trio made a presence at a Verizon event held in New York City today.
- The Droid Mini is priced the lowest at $99 and is equipped with a 4.3 inch high definition display. It has a Snapdragon 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory and a pretty impressive 10MP rear facing camera, 2MP front facing camera and runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System
- The Droid Ultra which appears as the mid-range choice is priced at a competitive $199. It has an impressive 5 inch screen and is classified as the thinnest phone yet at 0.28 inches thin. The camera and additional hardware matches the Droid Mini
- The Droid Maxx is the big mama in the group. With a 5 inch screen and 32GB of internal memory, it pumps up the heat against its partners. It also boasts wireless charging, Gorilla Glass and runs on the exciting Motorola X8 Computing System with Touchless Control and a stunning 48 hour battery life. Yes, let’s repeat that – a 48 hour battery life! That’s pretty intense
This trio is sure to make a splash for current Verizon customers and new customers alike. Currently, only Verizon will be the exclusive provider holding the power of purchase of the droid triple releases. The Droid has always been a seductive phone for users, because of its sleek capabilities and access.
The announcement was pretty spectacular, because each of the phones will be powered with the Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System. This exclusive system includes eight integrated cores that have dedicated functions. This encompasses natural language processing, a dual-core Qualcomm Krait CPU, a quad-core Adreno GPU and additional features yet to be seen. Rumors suggest users can basically make calls, send and receive texts, play music, command for directions all hands free.
Earlier this week, the largest CDMA carrier released a biting article challenging competitors (hint AT&T) about the reliability of networks. It seems a double punch with the triple release of these advanced Droids to hit the market on August 20th. So, what makes this lineup so sexy? Unlike its predecessors with a dull, matte finish, the trio will glimmer and shine with a kicked up Kevlar finish that is now glossy.
While the phones won’t hit stores until August 20th, the phones are available today for pre-order, exclusively with Verizon. The home page is a siren’s call to the new line-up, sure to bring orders very quickly for the phones. AT&T recently released the Nokia Lumia 1020 phone. While pre-orders sold out the first day, it is now replenished and back for more orders. It may be sitting idle for sometime as many customers gravitate to Verizon for the latest releases.
Carriers typically announce one major phone release, Motorola and Verizon both made a wave by unveiling three new Droids to the market, leaving indecisive consumers to determine which phone has the better specs for the dollar amount. It seems more consumers will flock either to the Droid Mini or Droid Maxx. Either way, Motorola has brought sexy back with an exciting release of three attractive devices for Droid lovers.
