The anticipation of the next Windows 8 device has been long awaited. Nokia is releasing the Nokia Lumia 1020, and AT&T has listed the scheduled date for pre-orders July 16 via their online channel. The national release will be scheduled for July 26th in stores, by phone and online.
The specs of the newest Windows phone has something to brag about. They include the following:
- A 32GB Internal memory (yes that is 32GB standard)
- A 4.5″ AMOLED screen with Super Sensitive Touch and Corning Gorilla Glass
- 1.5 GHz Dual-core processor
- Be prepared picture takers! The Nokia Lumia 1020 has an astounding 41 Mega-pixel Image Sensor, Auto Focus camera. With full 1080P HD video, ZEISS optics and Xenon flash, the phone has become a contender against iPhone 5’s 8 mega-pixels and the Galaxy S4’s 16 mega-pixels
While the starting price of the impressive Nokia Lumia 1020 is $299.99, consumers will be thrilled with the more expansive internal memory. With the scheduled pre-order date arriving quickly, the communications giant is already receiving hits on their site regarding the phone.
On the Windows blog, Michael Stroh writes about the communications with the Nokia team. Microsoft, states Kevin Shields, Senior Vice President at Nokia, played a critical role in the development of the 1020. The user interface and the camera experience were enhanced by Microsoft, as Nokia polished the architecture.
Nokia needed life breathed into its products, as Windows needed a boost to their mobile product line. In close collaboration, these two powerhouses have developed a product that crushes the camera standard in a saturated Smartphone field.
One the major disadvantages Microsoft has to contend with is its apps access. Apple and Google are neck to neck with nearly a million various apps. Microsoft has a mere 160,000 apps. While many consumers have displayed disinterest from the Windows 8 devices, the Nokia Lumia 1020 just kicked the interest into high gear.
Social media fans are buzzing about the speculator camera specs. Fence riders are still concerned about the limited apps. For the most part, Windows still offers popular apps, such as, Kindle, eBay, Amazon, Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office.
One question of concern surrounds the 41 M-pixels advertised. Much too often in larger cameras, noise and low light pictures appear grainy and rough. The process of default still resides within the basic 8 M-pixel range. The 41 M-pixel enhances pictures in low lights and significantly improves noise reduction.
Nokia and Microsoft have developed a star in the midst of their lineup and AT&T will reap the initial rewards, as the device will be offered exclusively by AT&T. In addition to the anticipated release of the Nokia Lumia 1020, is the Lumia 925.
The Lumia 925 is also a camera concentrated phone. Tired of photo bombs? The 925 can easily dispel the problem with the unique Remove Moving Objection feature. It also provides a larger picture beyond the lens, bringing to life a sharper and background focused image.
Nokia saw disappointing sales for the early part of this year. With the rapid boost of technology, collaboration and dedication, the sales predictions are rising. The scheduled pre-order date of the Nokia Lumia 1020 looms on the horizon, as does a predicted turnaround for the once ailing mobile manufacturer.
