A Dallas man attacked residents of two homes Wednesday evening. He killed 4 and injured 4 during the shootings. Police believe he may have also used an explosive device. The houses were about 10 miles apart.
The first attack took place before 10:30 p.m. Two people were shot to death, and two boys, ages 11 and 13 were wounded by survived. The shooter then drove about 15 minutes to a second home where he shot four others, killing two.
Police arrested Erbie Bowser for the murders, and are attempting to uncover his relationship to the eight people. He offered no resistance.
The second home was in DeSoto, where a neighbor, Tommy Johnson, described a loud bang.
“We thought it was coming from upstairs, because the kids are always upstairs making noise,” Johnson said. “I went up and asked, ‘Did y’all hear anything?’ and one of my daughters said it came from outside. So I peeped out the front and that’s when I saw a bunch of officers walking down the sidewalk and about 10 houses up.”
ATF investigators have not confirmed the use of an explosive device.
