Daniel Rosenthal Escapes Mental Health Hospital

Daniel Rosenthal, 58, has paranoid schizophrenia and “potentially dangerous” as described by Hampshire police. Rosenthal was last seen  on Saturday at about 2:30 pm when he was on a “routine, unsupervised walk” around the gardens at the Tatchbury Mount Mental Health Hospital in Totton, Hampshire.

He was known to have visited the areas of the new forest and Southampton in the past.

Police have warned the public not to approach the convicted murderer.  Officers has  search the mental hospital, its grounds and all the surrounding areas without any success.

On the day of his disappearance he was last seen wearing closed in sandals, baggy brown cord trousers and a long sleeved cream coloured shirt with buttons down the front.  Daniel Rosenthal is described as 5ft 2 inches, with short grey-brown hair in a “basin style” fringe, he walks with a hunch and a “scuffle”. Daniel also wears glasses with a metal rim and He has a local accent.

Police are urging the public to report any sightings of Mr Daniel Rosenthal by calling 999 and to not approach him.

Daniel Rosenthal was sent to the Tatchbury Mount Mental Hospital due to that he murdered his mother Leah in 1981 at their home in Hedge End after he had killed his father Milton in France.  In trail he had said that he cut up their bodies into little pieces.
