Gia Allemand Remembered With Video Tribute

Gia Allemand Remembered With Video Tribute

While the official cause of death for 29 year-old Gia Allemand has been listed as suicide and her family and boyfriend releasing statements of shock and sadness at her sudden death, a memorial video tribute has been posted that remembers the late Gia’s short life by her mother.

According to E! News, The Bachelor contestant’s funeral service will be on Thursday at the Trinity Grace Church of Chelsea in New York City at 11 a.m. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday at two different times. 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. first then later at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Papavero Funeral Home at Maspeth, New York.

Gia Allemand’s mother, Donna Micheletti, uploaded a tribute video and an obituary for her late daughter on the Papavero Funeral Home website. The obituary states: “Loving girlfriend ‘Petrie’ of Ryan ‘Snuggy’ Anderson, beloved daughter and little princess of Donna Micheletti and stepdaughter of Tony Micheletti, loving sister of Dylan and Erick, most cherished granddaughter of Marie (Nonna) Coltrinari, devoted Godchild of Fred and Annemarie Coltrinari, dear cousin of Brian, Ellen, Kevin and Julie, and also survived by her dear dog Bentley.”

The video tribute is a slideshow of pictures featuring Gia in various stages in her life. The pictures, from happier times, are accompanied by an acoustical guitar and piano duet. The pictures include ones with her and her boyfriend and other assorted family members and it is quite touching.

The late actress’s boyfriend, Pelicans player Ryan Anderson, found her after she had hanged herself and then called emergency services to help resuscitate her. Once paramedics arrived Gia was then transported to University Hospital where she was placed on life support. Unfortunately she had suffered extreme organ and brain failure, because of this her life support was removed. She was pronounced dead on the Wednesday surrounded by Ryan, her family and her pastor.

Ryan released a statement to Us Weekly saying, “I’m deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends, and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out, and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed.”

Allemand’s mother also released a statement to the press stating that the so-called friends who had spoken to the media did not really know her daughter and that at least one individual that Gia knew before she died, was not trusted by her. Ms Micheletti also said that the woman who had given statements to the media was lying.

Colleagues and work friends from the Pure Barre Gym where Gia worked as a fitness instructor have held their own personal ceremony of remembrance for Gia in New Orleans, Louisiana where they threw bunches of flowers into the Mississippi river.

There has been a lot of speculation about Allemand’s state of mind when she hung herself and it has been reported that the young actress had been thinking about suicide for some time. She had also, apparently, spent the day in church before she took her life writing down passages from the Bible.

It has been surmised that Gia Allemand was suffering from depression brought on by her own insecurities about how her relationship with Ryan was going. Unfortunately, only she knew why she felt the need to take her own young life. We hope that the beautiful video tribute put up by her mother helps those who knew her to remember her happier times in life.
