Somewhat amazingly, it seems that Robert Pattinson is so lonely that he seems to be upset no one has noticed. The English actor and star of the Twilight saga, has been talking to the Spanish edition of GQ magazine. In the interview, he talks about what it means to be a real live movie star and how alone it can make you feel.
The 27 year-old star said, “It’s strange, you don’t have a normal life anymore. You spend much time trying to fight it, but in the end you find another way to live.” Then Robert made his surprise confession of feeling lonely, “People don’t realize how lonely you are. In any case, I feel fortunate because success didn’t reach me very young, at least, I had the opportunity to have a life before.”
But it isn’t all about the lonely, Robert also revealed that it is a hard burden, being a star. He said, “When you become famous, it’s easy for some people to hate you just because you are famous. That’s why, sometimes, you beat yourself up.”
In the Spanish GQ interview, Robert did say that he feels like he’s growing up finally. R-Patz said, “I don’t know, I think it’s only the age. It’s strange, you start changing, childhood finishes and, suddenly you feel that even your physique is different, you feel heavier.”
Pattinson also revealed that he was completely unprepared for the popularity and the success that was generated by the first Twilight film. He explained that after the first one, he had no idea if any more would follow. He says, “I lived in a small apartment when the premiere arrived and didn’t even know if the sequels would be made. Then came the weekend of the premiere and it was, ‘Oops, now we must do the sequels.'”
While Robert Pattinson doesn’t come right out and say that he feels so lonely, the fact that he mentioned it at the interview shows that it must be a factor in his everyday life. Or at least his life off of the film set.
Robert also revealed that he’s trying to get used to being in the public eye all the time. Living in the limelight has taken some adjusting on his part. He said, “Before I didn’t like that the image of myself with a big ego, but now I do.” He jokingly added, “Now I have a big ego.”
Since Robert intimated that he felt so alone in the Spanish GQ magazine interview, the rumours about him and Kristen Stewart thinking of getting back together again make a certain amount of sense. According to an inside source, Pattinson and Stewart spent a long time talking about their past relationship when he went to her house to collect his things.
This inside source says that Robert really admired Kristen and her ability to “not care what other people thought.” He also apparently loved her fearlessness. While the Maps to the Stars actor has been consoling himself with Riley Keough recently, we think that part of him still misses Kristen as much as she apparently misses him.
It may well be that the two “star-crossed” lovers will get back together after enough time has gone by the heal the hurt. The couple breaking up after such an intense relationship could go a long way to explaining why Robert Pattinson feels so lonely. He may need more than a Riley Keough to keep him company, he may need Kristen. Only time will tell.
