On August 16th, Robert Pattinson visited Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and worked on decorating picture frames with some of the patients in the Teen Lounge. The children were thrilled to work alongside Pattinson who seemed just as nervous as they were. He even visited two Cystic Fibrosis patients who were unable to leave their rooms. Specialist Ana Vega said that Pattinson was gracious and humble and really concerned about letting his young fans down.
In an interview with the Spanish edition of GQ magazine, Robert Pattinson says that being famous is very lonely. He feels that some people hate him for being so famous and that in turn affects his self-esteem. He feels lucky that he was able to have a normal life before he became famous for his roles in the Twilight movies. He mentions that he was living in a small apartment when Twilight first premiered. He wasn’t even sure that they would be filming any sequels.
Robert hates the nickname, R.Pazz, that he was given by a blogger and says that he does not understand some of the older Twilight super fans, the fans that are not teenagers. He says that he does not understand what those older fans do all day that is when they are not roaming the web looking for information on Twilight.
One of Robert Pattinson’s first film roles was as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, a role he reprised in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Robert Pattinson rose to fame as Edward Cullen, a vampire who has fallen in love with the human, Bella, in the wildly successful Twilight franchise based on Stephanie Meyer’s novels of the same name. There are five Twilight movies: Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- part one, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part two.
In 2008 and 2009, Pattinson was named one of the sexiest men alive by People magazine. In 2010 he was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine and one of the most popular celebrities by Forbes‘ Celebrity 100
