Samsung Galaxy Note III will be finally announced by Samsung at the “Unpacked Episode 2” event in Berlin, slated for September 4. This seems to be a trend with Samsung. The company rolled out the Galaxy Note II at an event last year branded as “Unpacked.”
There is a lot of speculation surrounding the specs of the Note III. The screen size is rumored to be from 5.7-inches to 6.3-inches. Basically, it is rumored to be larger than the Note II screen of 5.5-inches. In addition to the bigger screen, rumors suggest of the following specs of the newest, flagship smartphone:
- 1920 x 1080 full high definition display
- One of two processors: Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa eight core chip or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip
- The camera is jumping in clarity to the 13-megapixels
- Stylus pen enhanced and improved
The “Unpacked Episode 2” is expected to ring in confirmation of the phone and lead to huge sales for Samsung. The phablet craze is here and now in the smartphone industry from the Galaxy S4, Droid and HTC One. Some customers want the bigger and better option to watch movies- as on the go mobile consumers continue to rise.
Rumors continue to increase with excitement as the unveiling of the new Galaxy model is approaching. On September 4, Samsung is also hosting an event in New York City, for those who cannot make it to Berlin. The official invite is below and details the event.
Millions of consumers are holding off on upgrading or selecting a new device until the event arrives. Those of us who can’t make the event in either Berlin or New York can watch the event from the Youtube link noted in the invite above. The Galaxy Note II stemmed just before the long-awaited Galaxy S4 was revealed. While the Note II didn’t sell as quickly as the S4, 3 million shipments still outsold its predecessor.
The leaks continue to be revealed and rumored, such as the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which right now is only on a select number of Nexus devices and Google Play edition phones. The camera, as stated above is rumored to be 13-megapixels, but whispers suggest it will also have a dedicated camera button and Xenon flash. This of course seems to be the latest trend for smartphone carriers.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 made such a splash in the smartphone pool with its camera, it cleared the waters. It seems Samsung is trying to gain an edge by really focusing a great deal of the Note III’s specs on the camera. Additional rumors continue to literally be leaked by the minute, including Samsung releasing a couple of versions. The main advanced model and a secondary model, less expensive with reduced specs like an 8-megapixel camera.
Samsung certainly knows how to set the rumor buzz and we can only imagine more information, leaks and whispers will come available over the next 29 days leading to the “Unpacked Episode 2” event. Samsung is not one lacking for sales, but remaining on top of its game is imperative to maintain its superstar status. With Google, Windows and now LG making a play in the big boy game, Samsung knows it has to step up, before consumers step out.
