Statewide Amber Alert Issued for Two Children in California

Late Monday afternoon the Amber Alert issued for two children, Hannah Marie Anderson, 16, and Ethan Anderson, 8, who were last seen in Boulevard on Saturday. It is suspected that they were abducted by James DiMaggio, also suspected of killing their mother, Christina Anderson, 44, of Lakeside. The alert is now statewide, active in San Diego and imperial countries.

Responding to a fire call on Ross Avenue, firefighters found Christina Anderson’s body inside, together with the body of a child, whose identity and age was not released. Authorities suspect that DiMaggio started the fire to conceal the murder of Christina Anderson. He was the owner of the burned house and is believed to have been in a platonic relation with the victim.

The suspect may be driving a 2013 blue Nissan Versa with the California license plate 6WCU986. It is believed to be heading to either Texas or Canada.

DiMaggio is 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. If seen, call the police and do not approach.

Hannah is described as blond haired with blue eyes, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds, with a belly button ring, nose stud and pierced ears. Ethan is 4 feet 11 inches tall, 64 pounds, and has sandy blond hair.
