GTA V Online Launches October 1 and Developers Want Your Help

GTV V Online Gaming
Grand Theft Auto Online

Grand Theft Auto was one of the defining video games of the 1990s, and it is with great excitement that we’ve learned about the new GTA V launching in just a few days online. Online! With the classic Grand Theft Auto Miami Vice, we could steal cars, attack innocent people and score deals with hookers – everything that the teenage brain thinks is awesome – all done 80s style. But now that GTA Online is within our grasp, the possibilities are even more astounding.

GTA V Online is a 16-player game that takes place in a dynamic, all-new online world. You can play solo or with friends to discover the in-world geography, special features and brand-new game content. Unlike the console version of the game, GTA V Online is a world that will evolve and change over time so that game play never gets stale. Once you have mastered the original quests and learned the skills of your character, discover even more! This is meant to be a thriving online world for gamers who can always find something new to do in-game, much like the World of Warcraft.  Just like in older versions of GTA, there is plenty of ambient atmosphere to keep you interested.

According to RockStarGames, the graphics and game mechanisms are even more advanced than ever, making it a breeze to control your characters and interact with other characters online. On top of that, you can customize your player in terms of their appearance, their vehicles, personal property and gamer statistics. Your character can ultimately rise up through various criminal levels to become the head of a criminal chain of command. There’s no knowing where the story ends, since new challenges will emerge over the course of the game and require you to team up with friends and strangers to complete assignments and earn cash.

The game developers are asking for as much player feedback and help as possible following the October 1 launch of GTA V Online, since it’s a new platform for the game. When and if you discover any cool characters or locations that you love, or any little glitches or major bugs, it’s your job as a player to let the developers know about it! They are looking for positive as well as negative feedback, so don’t be shy. As you share your impressions of the new platform with the game developers, you’ll be helping to script the ultimate players manual and pave the way for more online versions of your favorite criminal empire.

After the public testing phase of GTA V Online launches on October 1, developers will be taking your comments and feedback to heart, so try to be helpful! Following the testing phase, RockStarGames is going to be constantly updating its online content and even giving players the chance to build their own little parts of of the online world, The Sims 3-style. Better get in line, because access to GTA V Online can be found with every purchase of the console video game in just 2 more days!

I agree with the comment about your character’s weight being affected by the activities you participate in. It would add to the uniqueness of the character we created.

Looking for players to join our crew, we are a small crew looking to
run things together sort of like a crime family. Looking for people of
any gender, age doesn’t really matter but preferably no children.
15-25 crew members more likely. Mics will be much appreciated so we
    can actually communicate with each.

    Crew: Omerta Crime Family

We aim to socialise and enjoy playing the game together plus make
some new friends in the process.
If interested message me on PSN/Social

How about going to a pub and playing pool / snooker with your crew, get drunk then rob the place 🙂

  19. Kevin   September 29, 2013 at 1:41 am

I love cops and crooks in gta 4 it would be great if you put this game mode in the new gta 5.

  20. Tmain   September 28, 2013 at 10:03 pm

Great job on the game but one thing I would like to see is Seasons change online. The beginning of the game was beautiful the snow gave it a nice touch it would be awesome to log online in December and the streets of LosSantos are blankted with snow. Also crouching would be nice not seeing any use for stealth online unless your not visable on the map. Also Surprised there were not horses in Blaine county sounds kinda silly but would be funny to get on one (Red dead). Ever thought of having an online radio station so the songs refresh weekly maybe monthly to keep the songs fresh n up to date. Also if you could Copy Halo 2s system of controlling the crew n game that would be awsone. When will it be dropping eastern time?

  21. sir   September 28, 2013 at 9:23 pm

WYea i can’t lie i don’t like the fact people can roll back over let they s**t blowup

  22. Nick Hites   September 28, 2013 at 8:53 pm

you should have it to where you can lay down for some snipers looking to have a little fun without being noticed

  23. Dark   September 28, 2013 at 8:50 pm

What time eastern will online be relase

  24. Chris   September 28, 2013 at 8:30 pm

Lets be mindful here people that you can only put so much in a video game at once without overloading its memory data and having glitch issues or things not loading fast enough. But for online it would be nice to be able to work out and eat so your character is constantly changing appearance. i feel having to get gas all the time would get old after a while but more clothes shops and more jewelry would be cool. Also i think you should be able to form gangs and control turf. Now this idea is probably not going to happen for this gta, but for the next one if they made micro-transactions profitable for online gamers as well as rockstar that would be world changing. For example, if someone in the online game is super rich beacsue they made a bunch of boss moves in the game and became a gang leader, someone should be able to pay real money to buy in game money from that person. That would be epic, beacause not only would that person enjoy online gameplay, but has a shot at making a real life profit off of it as well.

  25. sir   September 28, 2013 at 8:24 pm

I would love to smoke a joint while driving (seriously) & when you smoke on gta v, the weed effect dosent last long enough like when your drunk. Another thing, it would be cool to even sell drugs or even rob others products to escalade a crew rival. One more thing, ima serious gta fan, i was mad that the campaign ended so quick when i still was trying to figure out things. What happened to 500 missions ? Is that for online ? If so nevermind & more music please & thank you

  26. Joe   September 28, 2013 at 7:55 pm

It would be awesome if you’d make an LSPD multiplayer game, with real life situations, also be able to interact with the online player committing crimes. You should be able to build you own gang and control turf within that said game, more businesses and activities that all the characters can interact with. I also agree with the gym and crouching ideas, they should also include being able to eat at restaurants, have to put gas in the car and be able to buy homes

  27. Marcel Trent   September 28, 2013 at 7:42 pm

Please bring back crouching please and bring back the gym, and for mulitplayer make it so the characters can have voices, and make the storyline for online great

  28. Josh   September 28, 2013 at 7:35 pm

i think this game is exeptional, but for the online portion, we should be able to access more maps and leisure activities to perform. i would like to see the option to wear seatbelts, because it comes in handy when you accidently crash at like 80 miles an hour and fly like 60 feet forward. not pissed at all with this game. Can you add different maps to (fly) to? Can you give us nitrous and (maybe car gas)? Could you allow more stores, and whole skyscrapers that we can access (you know, like to hold people hostage and act militant)? Oh, and especially A LOT more destructive environments… so when i shoot a rocket at the hospital or a random (Anything), it simulates real destruction. kinda like battlefield 3’s destructive environments, especially building collapses, and road debris. all accumulating over time etc…………

  29. Dev   September 28, 2013 at 7:27 pm

I agree with the gym coming back & there should be mini games where, for example, a friend & I can both lift but maybe ill do it better or moe effectively than them, & my character will make a remark after like, “DO YOU EVEN LIFT BRO?” I want to have opportunity not only to play with my friends but against them too. Underground fight clubs? Back in san andreas you coulsd learn many fighting styles, why not bring this back & have us use what we learned against eachother.

  30. Silvester   September 28, 2013 at 6:12 pm

Everybody Just STFU And Enjoy The Damn Game

  31. Viruz   September 28, 2013 at 5:16 pm

We need more missions maybe a mini storyline. but All and all great game

  32. Brandon   September 28, 2013 at 5:07 pm

Please feature a gym and fast food and healthy option like San Andreas, where it affects your characters with being skinny or fat ect. Need elements like this back. Also the game is too childish when upside down in a car (on the roof) it would normally blow up or set fire on previous games but is not very good with this new system where you can roll a car when your in it back onto its wheels, I feel like im playing saints row. GTA I thought wasn’t to be more on the realistic side of things.

    • Viruz   September 28, 2013 at 5:19 pm

yea see point it is abit water down like childish like good point

  33. YerManKevRyan   September 28, 2013 at 4:47 pm

Absolutely love the game. Kudos Rockstar.
This pish, however, is a lazy, barely informed puff article. So much for ‘quality content’ google :/

  34. blake   September 28, 2013 at 4:32 pm

why is it so hard to barrel roll when aiming?
not sure if anyone else noticed, but its response is slow to do. I’m currently trying to set the controls right to switch targets easier as well.

    anyway,great job on this game!
