Everyone is still talking about Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance. Even if you live in a cave, you might still have nightmares of her tongue out as she wriggles her behind against the black and white stripe wallpaper called Robin Thicke. I love that guy’s voice, but he is definitely playing background to all of this Miley hype.
Duck Dynasty stars say they’re praying for her. All of these other people are talking about her from clergymen to grandmamas to heads of state. Billions of mouths across the world are uttering “Miley” in one way or another.
We are just playing into exactly what Miley wants…to be talked about indefinitely. Somewhere in her mansion on a coast somewhere she is looking at all of these articles, tweets, blogs, and comments and giggling with every kind and not-so-kind word said.
This is all a grand PR design obviously. Releasing a single called Wrecking Ball a short while after her VMA performance just confirms that suspiscion.
She isn’t a great role model right now, but I’ll bet anyone two cents that after all of her naughty singles are pushed and she makes millions of dollars off of a world tour, she’ll make a big clean repectable comeback that will make us talk about her again. This should sound familiar to many of you.
We have got to stop giving attention to bad behavior. But the irony is, here goes this article doing just that. But there is a point to be made so let’s resume.
Now one of the reigning queens of bad behavior, Britney Spears is releasing another single that will leave the jaws of the conservative on the floor. The single is called, Work B*tch.
Though this is more of a slang term that friends would say to each other, she could have still made more appropriate choices such as “Work Hard Girlfriend” but that wouldn’t have the same edgy and naughty effect that she’s after.
Britney Spears tweeted earlier, “Woke up today and saw that a low quality version of Work B*tch had leaked :(“ Oh, poor you Britney. But don’t worry…we’re still talking about you like how you like it.
This single was expected to premier today (Monday) after she teased her fans on her website with a countdown. Then the song leaked online Sunday morning and Britney’s camp had to move the debut earlier…a few hours…but that’s not important.
What is important is she found another tweetable topic to tug at the heartstrings of fans.
And here is the point to be made, or rather…personal plea: Come on world, let’s just shut up about both of these girls for awhile so that we can stop looking like their puppets. Let’s figuratively duck tape our mouths regarding anything Miley or Britney.
But then again, if it’s not them, it’ll be other pop divas…and the bad behavior PR circle will continue to go round and round as they laugh their pretty blond heads off.
