Saturday, 20-year-old pop star Miley Cyrus rocked the iHeart Music Festival stage when she came out wearing a tight-fitting white corset and high-waisted shorts that revealed the bottom half of her ass.
Miley was clearly a crowd favorite, as the audience of a few hundred who were gathered to see her perform kept chanting “Miley, Miley, Miley!” before she took the stage for her four-song set.
The pop sensation opened up her set with her popular hit song “We Can’t Stop” and showed off her twerking skills just as she had at the MTV VMA Awards. There weren’t the people costumed like teddy bears, as there were at the VMAs –instead, performers dressed in mushroom, rainbow, and flower costumes danced with her.
Oh, yeah — there was also a dwarf who twerked alongside her onstage, too, similar to her performance in Germany, though that one had reportedly multiple twerking dwarves performing with her. Miley playfully (suggestively?) slapped the dwarf’s butt during the song.
Miley then performed another hit of hers, “Party In the USA.”
Miley gave a very emotionally-charged performance of her latest hit, “Wrecking Ball.” It was the highlight of her set, and as she left the stage, Miley’s mascara was running. The iHeart Music Festival Concert, she said, was the first time she had performed the song live.
Miley thanked the crowd there for helping to make “Wrecking Ball” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this week, and for making her video of it, in which she rides naked on an actual wrecking ball, one of the most-watched music videos of all time. The video was the fastest one ever to hit a million views.
She gratefully told her fans at the concert: “I couldn’t have done it without all you guys.”
Though many people have criticized Miley’s wild-child performances and onstage antics and twerking (and sticking out her tongue), what she does onstage is designed to keep her name in the news as much as possible.
She’s said she’d rather be in the news ad talked about for two weeks, rather than just for twenty minutes.
Though she knows that some of the things she does onstage keeps “getting me into trouble,” she also feels that she needs to keep on “doing what my heart and soul is telling me to do.”
Miley’s fourth song was, like “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball,” off of her album “Bangerz,” which will be out in stores in October. It ‘s called “Look What They’ve Done to My Song.” It is sure to be another in a chain of hits for Cyrus.
Other performers at the iHeart Music Festival on Friday and Saturday were the legendary Paul McCartney, Drake, Katy Perry, Elton John, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Avril Lavigne, The Wanted, Justin Timberlake, and The Band Perry.
Miley’s white corset and high-waisted shorts showed off her physical attributes, but if her fans didn’t like her songs, she wouldn’t be as popular as she is today. Her performance at the iHeart Music Festival is her latest in a series of provocative concerts.

Miley’s performance of “Wrecking Ball” at the iHeart concert taken with a cell phone. It’s not the best quality, as it’s from a distance; but, the sound quality is pretty good.
